Corner Bead & Base Coat Profiles
The base coat profile is produced in 5 standard lengths (2.40–3.50 m). Unlike the common single-length approach in the sector, intermediate lengths allow cuts closer to the project's actual measurement.

These two profiles are not structural — they carry no load and instead define surface flatness and edge durability. The base coat profile is fixed to the wall as a vertical screed guide: plaster is filled between the profiles and struck off against them, bringing the wall to plumb in a single pass. The corner bead is embedded into external corners, giving the corner a straight line and protecting it from impact.
WHERE IT IS USED
- Internal and external wall surfaces receiving base coat plaster
- External corner finishes on plastered and plasterboard surfaces
- Protection of column and beam corners
Assembly Logic
The sequence below describes a typical application. Stud centres and fixing details vary with the project's structural and acoustic requirements — the project specification governs.
Schematic layout drawing — not a scaled shop drawing.
- 01The wall is checked for plumb; base coat profiles are bedded vertically onto plaster dabs at spacings suited to the screed board length.
- 02All profiles are aligned to a common plane with a string line and spirit level — this step sets the plaster's flatness.
- 03Plaster is filled between the profiles and the excess is struck off by running the screed board over them.
- 04The corner bead is embedded into the external corner with plaster or jointing compound and feathered into the surface.
